Our Mission

Our Objectives

Ø      To publish and enforce a standard set of rules and regulations to serve as guidelines for all members of Snowbirds Gymnastics.

Ø      To represent Snowbirds Gymnastics (artistic, rhythmic, tumbling and trampoline, if resources available) as members of Gymnastics Newfoundland and Labrador.

Ø      To promote, guide and encourage recreational gymnastics activities.

Ø      To promote, develop and direct competitive gymnastics programs for all abilities and levels within the scope of ability of available resources.

Ø      To promote as a healthy and safe sport and/or activity.

Our History

The Snowbirds Gymnastics Club was started in the early 1970's by coaches Art Squary and Diane Gear.  At first it was a school based program, but eventually became a non-profit organization in the community.  For over 30 years the club operated out of the A P Low School's gymnasium, setting up and breaking down equipment at each practice.  We were very excited in July 2007 to move into the former LCC gymnasium and set up our equipment permanently!
